Do You Have A Book Reading Goal?
I’ve always been a book nerd. Locking myself up in my bedroom with a good book to read for hours on end is a favorite pastime of mine. As a young adult, I mostly read fiction. But as I get older, my favorite genre is personal and business development.
One of my personal growth goals is to read a certain number of books per year. This year, my goal is to read 40 books. We’re halfway through the year and I’m up to 25, so I’m feeling pretty confident that I can achieve that goal.
Do you set a book reading goal? Earlier this year, in the post 5 Practical Tips to Read More Books This Year, I outlined 5 ways to find time to read even if you’re in a busy season of life.

Personal Development Books
I “read” many books by listening to them using my Audible account. Personal growth or self-development books are my favorite type of audio book to listen to as I drive through town doing my errands, on my way to work, or picking my kids up from school.
I also love to take a book to a coffee shop with a pad of paper and take a lot of notes if I know it’s a book I’m ready to implement right now.
This list of 10 personal development books are all books that I’ve personally read in the last year. And each one of them has changed my life for the better.
Whether it’s a personal or a professional change you’re ready to make, you’re sure to find something in this list to encourage you on your new path.
