When I decided to start this blog in November 2015, I had no idea what I was doing. All I knew was that I felt a calling to share my experience as an overwhelmed mom intentionally choosing joy with other moms. Exactly what I was going to share and how I was going to go about sharing it was still a mystery.

Terms like pageviews, social shares, affiliates, ad networks, sponsors, an editorial calendar, monetization, and brand identity, were all foreign to me.
Although I had some working knowledge of email lists and lead generation magnets from running my law firm, I didn’t fully grasp what the blogging world was really all about until I took a course on blogging called Elite Blog Academy (EBA for short).
I joined EBA in February 2016. Honestly, it was a pretty large financial investment for someone new to blogging. I hesitated a little to join at first. Okay, I hesitated a lot.
But after researching the success of bloggers that had gone through the course and seeing their rave reviews, it quickly became a no-brainer.
Now, you might be thinking, “isn’t there a ton of free information about blogging on the internet?”
You bet there is. Just Google “how to set up a blog” and you’ll find countless blog posts, courses, e-books, and freebies from bloggers about blogging.
But the problem I found with all of this free information is that it is time-consuming to put all of the pieces together to create a system for setting up and running a successful blog.
I knew early on that if I was serious about this blogging thing, I must start with a solid foundation.
And that’s where EBA comes in.
Ruth Soukup, the creator of this course, has brilliantly put together a system for setting up and growing a successful, professional blog.
I’m a systems girl. I write a lot about systems on my blog. The reason I love systems so much is because they provide you with a step-by-step framework for getting to where you want to go.
Now, I’m going to be real with you, EBA can be frustrating.
Blogging takes a lot of work. And creating a successful blog requires not only an investment of your time, but it also requires you to have a passion for what you’re creating and to remain dedicated and consistent if you want to see success.
But if you stick with it and follow through on the system taught by Ruth, you will see your blog begin to grow.
I spent several frustrated months stuck in one of the earlier units of her course because it took me that long to complete it. But I didn’t give up. I kept chugging along step-by-step. And I finally broke through and was able to move on to the next unit in the course.
And 1 year later, I’ve grown my email list to over 10,000 subscribers, I reached close to 35,000 pageviews in December, and I created and sold my first online course. I’m amazed by how much my blog has grown in just one year. I can confidently credit this growth to EBA.
You guys, I’m truly amazed and humbled by how much my blog has grown in just one year.
Now, here’s some exciting news.
Ruth is releasing a newly revamped EBA 3.0 in February 2017. One (among many) great things about Ruth’s course is that when you join, you get lifetime access to all future editions and updates!
I’m beyond thrilled that I get to go through the newly revamped course when it releases in February!
If you’re looking for a tried and true system for setting up, growing, and monetizing your blog, EBA is hands down the one course I’d recommend you invest in.
Ruth only opens the course a couple of times a year, but you can get on the waiting list now. Plus, while you’re waiting, she’ll send you some helpful free blogging resources so you can start growing your blog right away.
So, what are you waiting for? Go and check out her EBA site now.
