Decorating for the fall and winter holidays is something I look forward to every year. I’ve always been a wannabe home decor DIYer. And, occasionally, I’m able to create something worth keeping and displaying in my home. But most years I look for fun, simple, and inexpensive (aka “cheap”) home holiday decorations. Even If you’re not a DIYer, you can still have fun, simple, and inexpensive Halloween Decorations. (Like the ones featured in this post!)

Fun, Simple, And Inexpensive Halloween Decorations
This Halloween we decorated simply with Halloween and Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) decorations.
The kids had fun finding different places in our home to decorate with the bag of skulls we received from Oriental Trading.
My favorite location was on the corner shelves in our newly renovated kitchen.
I love the vibrant colors in these vintage Day of the Dead skeletons. Don’t they make a lovely couple?
My children have had a lot of fun coming up with conversations for these two to have with each other.
Our fireplace mantle is fairly narrow, but this Pumpkin Express Train fit perfectly. All aboard! (Our little nutcracker is making an early appearance!)
Another favorite Halloween decoration of the kids is this Plush Skeleton Shelf Sitter. He’s good for cuddling and he seems to make appearances all throughout the house, kind of like the Elf on a Shelf.
Do you decorate for Halloween?
I’d love to know.
Are you a DIYer when it comes to holiday decorations? Or, are you more like me and prefer to purchase your decorations?
With Gratitude and Joy,
